Dewey's corporate finance experience includes advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions, including initiating and negotiating the sale of private companies, private placements of debt and equity, and business valuations. He founded and managed the investment banking department of a southeastern regional bank. Dewey has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, industrial distribution, consumer products, textiles, hospitality, and information technology.
Dewey started his career as a business attorney, representing clients in acquisitions, divestitures, venture capital investments, bond and other debt financing and licensing contracts. He also has experience as a chief financial officer for a private waste management company and as a part-owner and manager of an early-stage software/consulting company. In addition to his corporate finance consulting experience, Dewey has advised businesses in strategic planning and human resource management processes.
Dewey graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the

with a B.B.A. in accounting. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, and has a M.B.A. from the

Chapel Hill
